We appreciate everyone helping to support a smooth arrival and dismissal process each day. To help you better understand what we do and why we do it during dismissal each day, please read below for some dismissal reminders.
Busses are called over the loudspeaker, one-by-one, and meet with a staff member in front of our school. The staff member then leads the bus line to the correct bus and checks each student in to ensure all are accounted for. This helps us know where each of our students is during dismissal. While we are calling busses, teachers are each in their classroom with the remaining students ensuring they are leaving at the appropriate times.
Once all bussers are dismissed, walkers are called and the teacher walks with them to the back doors, where we have asked each of our teachers to ensure each student is dismissed to the correct adult.
Our typical timing is as follows: 3:00 to 3:05 is when busses are dismissed. 3:05 to 3:10 is when walkers are dismissed. While these are our target times, it does fluctuate depending on clubs, after school activities and being responsive to families unique needs each day.
