About Stevenson

Stevenson Elementary serves students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Our mission is Engage Learners, Embrace Opportunities, Empower All.

Stevenson has been built to meet the needs of all students. In addition the core content areas, students receive additional academic support in reading or math during our acceleration block .Our facilities accommodate a physical education activity room, a library resource center, an art room, a music room, a band/orchestra practice, a production lab, and Guidance offices.

Here at Stevenson, our goal is to create a positive school environment where students can learn and feel safe. Strategies are used to support and teach behaviors that allow for this type of environment. Our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) continuum is a school-wide plan in which the students are directly taught the expectations to be respectful, responsible, and safe in different settings in the school. These settings include the hallway, bathrooms, bus, lunchroom, playground, office, and classrooms.

Our staff and students can draw upon the support of a principal, an assistant principal, and support staff including ELL teachers, special services teachers, a psychologist, a social worker, a speech and language therapist, a nurse, secretaries, and custodians.

Beyond the classroom, Stevenson offers an array of extracurricular activities, including before and after school clubs.
