Halloween is just around the corner, and we’re excited to celebrate with our annual outdoor parade and fun classroom parties on Friday, October 3. To help you and your child prepare, please review the important details.
Students may wear their costumes to school on October 31 or change into them after lunch in their classrooms. Costumes must be school-appropriate and follow our regular dress code expectations. Please note that there can be no look-alike weapons of any kind, no gore, blood, or overly scary costumes, and costumes must be easy to slip on over regular clothing as restrooms will not be available for changing
Classroom parties will take place in the afternoon. Please do not send any edible treats with your child for the party or for classmates. Any food items brought to school will be returned home with your child. Thank you for helping us keep all students safe.
We’re excited to host an outdoor Halloween parade around the blacktop starting at 1:15! Families are welcome to attend in person or watch the livestream on the Stevenson Facebook page. In-person guests may gather around the perimeter of the building. The parade will begin at Door 1 and head toward the playground. In the event of rain, the parade will move indoors and be livestreamed only. Unfortunately, indoor viewing will not be available for spectators due to space and safety considerations.
The parade will take place from 1:15 to 1:45 and the parties will take place from 1:45 to 2:45. Room Parents will coordinate the parties and only pre-approved parent volunteers may enter the building.
