Our Stallions kicked off the year with our first whole-school PBIS meeting! We celebrated our schoolwide theme, Run as One, and had plenty of fun cheering on our teachers during a hula-hoop contest. Congratulations to our champion, Ms. Jordt!

What a wonderful way to kick off a new school year! A huge thank-you to our amazing PTA for organizing such a fun Back-to-School Bash. Despite the rain, our Stevenson community came together for an evening filled with smiles, laughter, and Stallion spirit. We’re so excited for the year ahead! ❤️🖤

Ms. Valeroso loves helping students grow in their communication skills and, most importantly, making sure they know their voices matter.
This summer, Ms. Valeroso had some amazing animal adventures in Florida! She visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom, where she went on an animal safari, and the Jacksonville Zoo, where she got to feed a giraffe, stingrays, and lorikeets!
Ms. Valeroso is excited to begin her first year at Stevenson, get to know our students and families, and become part of the Stevenson community.

This summer, Mr. Zucker enjoyed a trip to Myrtle Beach, where the highlight was heading to the beach and swimming in the ocean every day! 🌊☀️

First up, meet Justin Hill, Stevenson’s newest CIA! 🎉
Mr. Hill loves helping students reach their fullest potential while developing lifelong skills like communication and problem-solving.
This summer, Mr. Hill spent plenty of time caddying at Medinah Country Club and making memories with his three children—Michael (4), Jordan (2), and Sophia (3 months). Their summer adventures included golfing, trips to the park, visiting the Renaissance Faire, and much more!
Mr. Hill is excited to begin the new school year, get to know the Stevenson community, and work alongside all of his new coworkers.

As you celebrate Memorial Day today and wrap up the 3-day weekend, don't forget that tomorrow - May 26 - is the last day of school in District 54. It's a full day of school followed by a summer vacation. Have a fabulous last day District 54 community!

We are so proud of our students for demonstrating kindness, teamwork, friendship, and respect each day as they help make Stevenson a welcoming place for all! 👏

Their stories are now part of our library collection and available for checkout so others can enjoy them, too!
