March 9, 2012 Newsletter

Dear Stevenson Families,

Earlier this week you received your child’s second trimester report card.  I am confident you had the opportunity to reflect on the successes  with him/her and even discuss ways to move forward for the 3rd  trimester.  As a staff, we are pleased with the progress our students have made this year and are now gearing up for even more learning between now and the end of the year.

As you know, this week our third through sixth graders took the ISAT. They worked so hard to show all they know! We are very proud of them. Next week we will continue ISAT testing and make-up testing.

The students are so excited about our Variety Show, which will take place on Tuesday, March 13. Thanks to Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Tocmo and Ms. Vombrack who have worked so hard with our students to prepare for this show. Our all school performance will be at 1:30 pm and our evening show at 7:00 pm. If you are unable to attend the evening performance, please come please come to the 1:30 show. You are in for a treat!

Sincerely,
Maria Clifford

Starting the week of February 13, Stevenson will be collecting change in order to support the Schaumburg Foundation. This  change will go toward helping kids enroll in summer programs. Our school goal is $200.00! Ziplock bags will be in every classroom and the change will be sent to the office on a daily basis.

Holiday Shop

Posted Monday, December 5th, 2011 by Mrs. Chiero

This Thursday and Friday students will be given the opportunity to do some of their holiday shopping right here at school. If you wish to have your child participate, please send them to school with the holiday shop envelope filled out. This envelope should indicate who the student should buy a present for and how much money they should spend on each person on their list. Don’t forget to place the cash inside the envelope for save keeping.
